Kathmandu, 23 December. The draw for the European selection for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar has been made public.

UEFA made the group stage draw public last night. Fifty-five European countries have been drawn into 10 groups. The top team of the group will directly qualify for the World Cup in the selection game starting from March 2021. The second-placed team in the group will play another selection game involving two teams from the Nations League.

Group A includes Portugal, Serbia, Ireland, Luxembourg and Azerbaijan. Group B includes Spain, Sweden, Greece, Georgia and Kosovo. Group C includes Italy, Switzerland, Northern Ireland, Bulgaria and Lithuania, Group D includes France, Ukraine, Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, and Group E includes Belgium, Wales, Czech Republic, Belarus and Estonia. .

Group F includes Denmark, Austria, Scotland, Israel, the Faroe Islands and Moldova.

Group G includes the Netherlands, Turkey, Norway, Montenegro, Latvia and Gibraltar, Group H includes Croatia, Slovakia, Russia, Slovenia, Cyprus and Malta, while Group A includes England, Poland, Hungary, Albania and Andorra. Group J includes Germany, Romania, Iceland, Northern Macedonia, Armenia and Liechtenstein.
