Tilicho Lake is known as the highest lake in the world, which is located in Manang District of Nepal in Annapurna range at an altitude of 4949m (16138ft) from the sea level. Tilicho lake trek is the most famous hiking destination among the Annapurna Circuit Trek. And also it is famous for the Hindu religious place which carries a historical and pilgrimage importance. Many Hindu pilgrims from the world visit this lake, as this lake holy spot as mentioned in Ramayan (a holy book of Hindus). Hindu pilgrimages and devotees from all over the world visit this place for worship and pilgrimage. According to the Nepali Department of Hydrology and Metrology, no aquatic organism has been recorded in the lake.
The trekking of the Tilicho Lake starts from the Besisahar as Annapurna Circuit Trekking, which goes along the Marsyangdi River, with the great views of Manaslu and Himal Chuli to the east. The hike may take 3-4 days, but camping is not required because new lodges have been built between Manang and the lake. The final approach to the lake can be done in a day from the Tilicho Base Camp. The place is rich with the wide range of people and terrain, sub-tropical to high, dry landscape resembling the Tibetan Plateau. The route of the Tilicho lake undoubtedly provides some of the world’s best views, great variety of culture and diversity, finest deep valley’s and high mountains encircling the giant Annapurna Himal with the magical snowcapped Himalayas. The route leads you through the traditional Manangi village where trekkers are always offered warm welcome by the villagers with their friendly and habitual habit.
There is another alternate route, skirting Tilicho Lake from the North, which has been gaining famous. There are no teahouses or lodges, so the trekkers need to be prepared for one-night camp. Tilicho Lake was the site of one of the highest altitude scuba dives. A Russian diving team conducted a scuba dive in the lake in 2000 for the first time.
Tilicho Lake is one of those places that have had mythic connotations. The Annapurna undoubtedly provides some of the world best trekking route, including as it does a greater variety of scenery and culture than can be found in any other comparable area.

In this month, the weather and the temperature are comparatively better and you get to explore more in this region.
And the month from June to August are not favorable as the trials remain slippery and muddy, making it difficult to reach our destination.
