January 6, 2021 : Heavy snowfall on Sunday disrupted traffic at Hilsa Naka in Humla’s North Namkha Gwalior, which borders China. Heavy snowfall in Dark Lake, Yari and other high places of Namkha closed the movement of vehicles.

Hilsa (BOP) in-charge Suraj KC informed that the movement of Hilsa was closed after heavy snowfall from Sunday covered the road at Nara Lake. According to Armed Police Inspector KC, in-charge of the Border Security Post (BOP), which was closed after the snowfall, Hilsa can be reached from Nara Lake, which is 6,600 meters high, till Saturday. People can’t even walk.

In Hilsama (BOP), 20 armed police and other hotels have been staying in Kuruva. He said that the temperature in Hilsa had earlier risen to minus 14 degrees Celsius but now it has risen to minus 14 degrees Celsius.

Security personnel and other people living in Hilsa are not able to leave their homes. There is also a problem in patrolling the team. KC said that everyone was sitting inside the house heating fire. He informed that the lights were also off when the solar was not working due to snowfall.
