Kathmandu, Jan. 5 Barcelona’s star player Messi has equaled Brazilian legend Pele’s record of scoring multiple goals while playing for the same club.
Playing for the same club, Messi equaled Pele’s record of 643 goals. Messi scored a goal for Barcelona in a 2-2 draw with Valencia on Saturday. During the injury time of the first half, Messi managed to equal Pele’s record by scoring through the head. Messi scored his first goal for Barcelona in 2005.
80 years old pele, played for Brazilian club Santos for 19 seasons from 1956 to 1974, scoring 643 goals. Despite Messi’s goal, Barcelona could not win against Valencia in the middle of the table.
